STONE SOUR Frontman To Guest On IRON MAIDEN Singer's Radio Show

November 28, 2006

STONE SOUR/SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor will be IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's guests on Saturday, December 30 during Bruce's weekly BBC 6 Music radio show, aptly named "Rock Show". Listen to the program live via the Internet between 9:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. (midnight) U.K. time (between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. EST) at BBC.co.uk.

STONE SOUR's sophomore release, "Come What(ever) May", has been certified gold in Canada for sales in excess of 50,000 copies. The album has shifted 342,000 units in the United States so far, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

As previously reported, STONE SOUR will follow up the smash success of its single "Through Glass" with "Sillyworld", the second track headed to radio from "Come What(ever) May". The group will also shoot a video for the song shortly, although singer Corey Taylor admitted to Launch they don't have a concept yet. "We're in the process of trying to figure out what we wanna do," he said. "We wanna do something conceptual, we wanna do something that's fairly animated. I mean, something that's gonna be as stirring as the music and the content of the lyrics. So we're talking to a couple of different people, trying to hammer out what we're gonna do. And to be quite honest, we're very lazy people, so if we don't have to show up, hey, more power to us."

STONE SOUR is currently on the Music As A Weapon tour with DISTURBED, FLYLEAF and NONPOINT.

The band will tour Canada as openers for EVANESCENCE in January.

Live STONE SOUR tracks will appear on the 2006 Family Values Tour CD and DVD, both arriving at the end of next month.
